The study is a major contribution to comparative welfare state research, while assigning Serbia and Croatia to well-known models. It identifies distinct regime types in labour market and long-term care policy fields and shows (in)consistency in the underlying welfare logics. Moreover, the study delivers a comparative account of labour market and long-term care policies in Serbia and Croatia, using in-depth country studies. The book provides a comprehensive picture on structures, processes and key challenges, as well as respective links to recommended reforms.
