Beschreibung
In 1987 Thomas Langhoff created a model interpretation of the piece by Arthur Schnitzler. - The Austrian author is not only one of the most important representatives of Viennese modernism, he is above all a canonized narrator and playwright of world literature. - It is Langhoff's merit that he does not let Schnitzler adhere to the local Austrian color, but stages him as a linguistic genius and modern playwright. This view from “outside” helped Schnitzler's mere understanding of the local patriot to really appreciate the author.
